The network has recently published a report (December 2009), University awards and the National Framework of Qualifications: Issues around the design of programmes and the use and assessment of learning outcomes. The report is the culmination of activities of three working groups who explored the following topics, identified by network members as priority project areas in the implementation of the National Framework of Qualifications: 

• Technical aspects of designing and redesigning programmes / awards for inclusion in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ); 
• Designing and supporting the design of discipline specific learning outcomes; and  
• Designing effective assessment to enable the demonstration of the attainment of learning outcomes.
